Fabulous posts again today ! All week long in fact. I learned a ton of stuff again, but I have a couple of quick questions.
Re.- RampDetails..BentonStcoks - That was a great description of the ramping process, thank you. Benton's dad mentioned that it would take 4-5 months to complete the furst stage. Is the next stage where they pull the gold out of the ground or if it isn't how long before it reaches that point, after stage one is complete.
Re.- Manipulation....The Moose - I read the entire link that Moose provided. Wow, a complete synopsis of shorting. That explained it all and now I'm completely disgusted with these scoundrels ! Here is the question....
These are US trading rules. Is it the same for Canada ?
The uptick rule provides that a short seller cannot sell a stock short unless on an uptick or a zero-plus tick; this means the stock can only be sold short if the last non-zero "tick"
A naked short sale is selling a security short without first ascertaining that one can borrow the security. In the US, making arrangements to borrow the securities first is often referred to as a locate. To prevent widespread failure to deliver securities, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has put in place Regulation SHO, which prevents investors from selling stocks short before doing a locate.
How can these pople look at themsleves in the mirror after doing this all day, every day ? Geesh, what a way to make a living....mind you, probably a pretty good living, but off the backs of shareholders..
Thank you all again, for your terrific posts with great explanations, educated opinions and tons of information. This board, NOT and the RTQ's have taken away the time I used to waste watching movies on TV (still watch a bit). And instead, I am learning something new every day. And that's something I can keep and use for the rest of my life. Cannot thank this board enough.
