Noront Resources (NOT : TSX-V : $3.80), Net Change: 0.40, % Change: 11.76%, Volume: 17,345,401Hat-trick. For the third day in a row, Noront has released significant assay results. Yesterday’s batch was the highly anticipatedresults from Hole 5 at its Double Eagle project in the James Bay Lowlands. Within a 117-metre thick mineralized zone, the holeencountered 3.1% copper, 5.9% nickel, 9.7 g/t palladium, 2.8 g/t platinum, plus some gold and silver over 68 metres. Thisexceeds previous results, which included 1.5% copper and 1.8% nickel over 36 metres in Hole 1 and 1.4% copper and 2.0%nickel over nearly 58 metres in Hole 2. Noront also announced that although Hole 6 didn’t reach the mineralized zone, Hole 7did, intersecting sulphides over a 51-metre interval, with core currently out for assay. Hole 8 is currently underway, designed to undercut Hole 7. Noront also released results from its Windfall Lake property in Quebec, where drilling intersected 12.3 g/t over five metres, and 17 g/t gold over six metres and preparations for underground exploration are underway.
