I agree with being careful, however, to rationalize why a stock does anything, if done intelligently, is to do your job as an investor.  To out of hand poo poo the very real practice of MM is to stick your head in the sand.  If your analysis is open minded then rationalizing activities can only be of benefit.  There is a reason behind all things that a stock does.
