Yesterday, I did a google earth image of McFaulds lake, zooming in on it, from outer space, al the way down to the lake itself. I then backed it up to see where it was in relation to lake Superior & james Bay and civilization, really. I mean, it's in the middle of nowhere, far north of any town and west of james bay, in line with Akimiski Island. Right smack in the middle of northern ontario.
From what I see, it appears as though the rock formations run in a SE to NW flow. There is more rock to the east of the Lake and several patches on the north and northwest side, but not as much on the west or south side of the lake. IF any of that means anything...Also, I see a small formation, orange in color, NNW of the Lake, running in SE to NW direction.
Anyways, it was interesting to see it, from that perspective.
