Little more complicated than that but yes in a number of cases a trader for a fund would then be allowed to trade in the companies shares. They wouldn't be too happy with the current volatility.

You did mention 'worth' and not market valuation. They are two different things. At the moment with no proven mineable resource NOT is worth, being generous here 50 cents a share. That's 25 cents in cash (although a nice chunk of change is commitee and going out). The properties are valued on the balance sheet. Everything else at the moment is speculation and good will.

Of course the market will put a higher than 50 cent value on Noront. I am too but 'worth' on breakup, at this point in time, isn't anywhere close to market valuation. Been there seen that and a used to lend money.
