You should be proud.  At least your country is not being given away by the lower dollar.  Our middle class is in big trouble.  Our government lies to us about inflation and every decision seems to help Wall Street at the expense of all others.  The middle class home owner is seeing his property value go down rapidly and credit is drying up.  I am fortunate to have sold my home before the real bloodbath began and I now rent much cheaper.  I put a sizeable amount of the proceeds in Canadien CD's and so far am making aout 18% because of the currency exchange.  I also own euros, australien dollars, and a few others that are up but not as much.  I am not speculating with this money as I plan to buy a home again as soon as the market quits puking.  If I could take my Florida sunshine to Canada I might move there.
