Question : Should I bid market or ......

One of my clients has entrusted me with his funds by giving me his TD waterhouse info. I've logged in and placed a bid for him for 2000 shares. Should I be doing this at market or less than market. The bottom line is to get him in, but I'd like to save him some money and look good. Can anyone predict what I should do ? TIA
