They probaly had decided not to submit for analysis based on what they saw in this interval as the core was logged. It may have not looked assay worthy.

However, the assays of the holes they just received, probably caused them to rethink this. Could be that now think that this +5m interval could be mineralized (have gold), and if it is, it will be another bit of evidence to help them sort things out.

Simple as that...
