Absolutely!!! I can't believe how many people don't even know what the poppy and Rememberance Day stand for nowadays. Its pretty pathetic. Most of them don't have family that were living here at the time where our vets were at war. That doesn't mean they shouldn't honour the troops that are fighting now in Iraq, Afganistan etc.
Pathetic, but you can't stereotype either. Most colours and creeds honour the day. It's an individual thing I'm talking about.
Without these brave men and women, where would we be now??!! What does it take to honour them. I sure as hell do and so does my family. It's great to be Canadian and I've always been awed by the pride the Americans show in thier country's national anthem. No one sits during it. They stand at attention and truly show pride in their country. Our two countries will always have our differences, but without one the other will never function as well as it does now. I personally hope we will always be friends.
