Yes, I believe that RN and the NOT team has the upper hand in this respect as well as in area negotiations as well.
Yes, I believe the Majors who have privileged data to build models with will and do have an advantage but have restrictions on how they are permitted to utilize it. One thing to remember with respect to buyout offers and the like is that each Major will want to put their money on the best prospect firat and will only act when they have sufficient information to justify their choice. Thus, on a broader scale they, themselves are in a high pressure game among themselves. The one who makes the best choice and wins will be the predominant force in future mine and associated infrastructure development. With this in mind they will all put off announcing any decisions until they feel as confident as can be. Once one of them strike they will have the others countering quickly, and then we watch the Super League move our share price fantastically in pops up, up, and up.
The new ETEM's and Down Hole IP's will be of great help but it is the interpretation of this data that matters most. All the other area plays have a much greater learning curve to climb at present and will lag in this regard all along as well.
Thus, the time the Majors will have sufficient info to act wisely will be into February or March most likely. In the mean time they are jockying for position. That means getting a small position in the key players and likewise for the smaller area players and various JV partners....
Quite the story to keep track of don't you think???
Old Joe
PS: I love the big picture stuff as there is so much to take into consideration (info, igo's, bidding, fake moves, dealings, deals, rivalries, missteps, etc., etc.).
The drill will be the ultimate guide in all that happens!
