I just spoke with Pat Chance, in charge of the Windfall project. He confirms that the permits necessary to proceed with the ramp have been received. There are still some small items to deal with later on, such as plans for shut down way in the future when the project is completed, but these items do not affect the ramp work which is underway now. The actual boring of the ramp will start as soon as the surface prep contractor is done. There is more work involved in the surface work then some of us realize. They have to dig containment ponds, and weld together membranes to create liners for these ponds, among other things, but it sounds like it is "full speed ahead".
I then asked why this important news had not been released in a news release. PC's answer was that they felt they had conveyed, at the AGM, that there were just PQ government review formalities left, but for all intents and purposes, the permits were achieved.
That 4 metre section of core that was not reported on, from the last Windfall assays, is at the lab, and may be around a month before results are received.
When I called the office, I originally asked for RN, but he was in a meeting......I wonder who he is meeting with?
