FYI

Fort Hope First Nation have been trying to get a brigde across the Albany for years. Buchanan's Forestry roads in the Ogoki go up as far as the Albany. So far no one has been willing to put up the cost of the bridge. It would open up the whole of the middle section of the far north. Currently the First Nations rely on winter roads or air transport but the winter roads are becoming unpredictable. If Noront has a mine (and I sure hope so) it might just be the final piece of the puzzle that pushes the Feds and Province into looking seriously at the economics of putting in a bridge. Webequie have a very good relationship with McDonalds and with Novak as well. Hope this helps
