Billythekid,
First of all let me acknowledge and approve of your "sticking up for others". Of course you are right. There are those individuals the same as there is good and evil. You can't have one without the other.
I pump my stocks as a form of jubilation after a very tedious exhaustive and sometime dissappointing DD or due dilligence. Its a form of celebration if, after m DD, I purchase the stock, I am satisfied in my mind that I am right and its as simple as that. Anybody dare tell me my hard work was a waste of time I go on the offensive / defensive mode by pumping the stock and rationalizing why I came to the conclusion I did.
So there is a difference between a pumper and a jubilant investor.
The phrase "she's going up" is one of many subject lines that seem inoquious at first glance but when repeated as a thread over and over is. IMHO not right.
If I see a negative subject line I admit, i will change it to a more positive one. I do this because I am now in protective mode. I'm close to the nest and watching the eggs.
In short the difference between me and a basher is that I have never bashed a stock. Does that make sense??
Why bash a stock? No matter how you feel. Why bash it? So others on the boards who may have their dreams in that stock will hear the bash and get hurt to their very core? Why would anyone want an occupation that talks innocent victims out of their potential savings???
Why pump a stock? You migh influence a move up a cent so these same people could get out clean without loss to invest in something better.
Merry Christmas all.
P.S. I have more rrsps coming due in March and no matter what the share price is, I'm buying in more. I only wish this was March the eighth.......:)..Don
