Well, this is my first post, though I've been enjoying the many great posts on here since NOT signed up with Agoracom. I thought I'd offer a little info here to the new mining investors about "getting educated" on mining stocks. I've gotten my education over time by reading lots of drill results and finding some websites that offer good commentary on the precious and base metals markets. For people new to investing in mining stocks, you can get some good free commentary on the metals markets off of www.kitco.com and www.gold-eagle.com . But to really be able to discern a spectacular drill result from a mediocre or a poor one, you need to start reading and comparing press releases of drill reports, and watch the movements of those stocks' share prices. As far as appraising Noront's drill results, this board has some posters who have considerable expertise in recognizing the phenomenal grades over considerable lengths that NOT is hitting, and providing ball park estimates of tonnages, etc. There are also some sharp traders on here who understand the manipulation of the stock price by some of the Major Movers, and have access to detailed trading information that most of us don't have. I think anyone who reads a lot of the messages on here will, over time, realize who are the savvy investors and who has some geological expertise on the one hand, and who are the posers and disinformation agents. I've been fortunate to have held Corner Bay Silver before they were bought out by Pan American, and Western Copper, before it became Western Silver and was acquired by Glamis Gold, and also held IMA Exploration in its early days, up until the suit by Aquiline. So, I've seen some great stock price growth in some great stocks. I can say about Noront that I've never seen a company more undervalued than this one is right now. People who've been investing in nickel miners for years understand that the grades of nickel, etc., on DoubleEagle, over such long lengths, are spectacular. People who've read lots of drill reports on gold intercepts over the years realize that the gold grade at Windfall is amazing, and is typically indicative of some larger ore body lurking nearby. And then there are all the other projects that add value to this company. I'm convinced that those who hold long on this stock will have some stories to tell their children and grandchildren one day about being in on the ground floor of the (notice I did not say "one of the") richest mining discovery of the 21st century.
