But it is simply a matter of imputing the foreign withholding tax and the foreign income into your tax return, however you either need Turbo Tax software or an accountant.  If you are preparing your own tax return then you are absolutely right. May I suggest however that if your tax return is not a very simple one should never prepare their own, due to the fact your accountant can very likely recover more tax refund than the fees charged.
