Good info, Milsy.  I think these facts about China's burgeoning economy, and also India's strong growth, are indications in favor of the argument that a severe recession or depression in the U.S. would not have the same global impact today that it did in 1929 through the 30's -- and, thus, would not have a severe negative impact upon base metal prices.
