Hey Rodg, not sure if this was addressed yet, as I'm still going through the postings, but I can confirm that at least the big broker houses are able to see all the stops and bids & asks of course. Meaning the only way to beat them is buy selling into the bid price or buying into the ask price.

I don't put stops on any of my trades for that reason. But everyone should know that i follow my stocks closely and that's why I can afford to have no stops. Anyone who isn't following their stocks closely on the junior exchange may want to have some stops in place, just in case.

Unless I go into "sleep trading mode", I am in control of my own stops in mind.

TD Waterhouse is one of my brokers and their affiliated Securites Division are the king of the shorters and stop loss eliminators, along with Cannacord. A favorite past-time of mine is putting up a high sell bid, waiting a few minutes and then taking it off. Then repeating that a few times in the day. Sometimes I even bring my sell price to within a buck or less, then take it off quickly. Anything to help make their day more difficult....Hah !

That is my understanding, from what I've read of some posts on here from people who appear to be pretty well connected in the investment world. I'm not sure if that is only outfits like Pinetree and Sprott (or Cormark) who handle their investors trades and place stops for them and keep track of that, or if it also includes other brokers. Maybe Rosedale will be available sometime to speak to this, or perhaps someone else who works (or has worked with brokerages) can speak to this?

strato-NOT
