Haven't posted for two months, I'm more of a reader than a poster.
Time flies. I've been following NOT for thirteen months now, on a daily basis (hats off to the ones that have been around for years). Haven't missed a day. I can say that up to October I had read every single post on SH and into Agoracom but, to a certain point, it was hard to keep up reading every post, it was time consuming. You get to know your good posters and the ones you need to skip (I'm allergic to cats and specially the ones with guns, they give me a rash). With time you learn to read between the lines, you get to know the personalities even though you can't really know someone thoroughly through internet.
DD
These two letters mean a lot more than I thought at first. I started investing in 2003 on the TSX. Looking back I was swingtrading and I didn't know it and with greed and fear on top of that, the worst scenario: buying high selling low. I lost half of my portfolio's worth up to the moment I came across NOT and SH NOT's forum. Started reading the forum and read guys like sharewizard (the real one) and others and they would state at the end of their posts"do your DD". It took me a while to understand what these two letters meant. Was it part of a song "Do your DD Dee Dee do" lol. No, seriously, I learned that Due Diligence meant doing your homework on the stock you want to invest in. Checking managament's background, the company's projects and potential and so on. I did my DD on NOT and felt comfortable with my investment. Reading good posts on this forum even consolidates my DD.
You 're probably asking yourselves where is he getting at. Well lately seeing the SP going into a downward spiral, I told myself in a perfect investing world, if every single investor would do their DD, then the MM would have a hard time scooping up the shares on the way down and maybe the bashers would be out of a job (wishful thinking).
I noticed that the tension has gone just like when the price hit rock bottom at 0.39 back then. IMO we' ve hit rock bottom at the $3.50 level. Again IMO in some time we'll have a good laugh looking at what just happened the last two months.
I will conclude by saying that we have, not a good, but a great crowd here. I know I'm living through the best stock and forum experience ever and when this is over it is going to be hard to repeat.
Caught NOT fever last winter and feeling Longer and stronger as ever.
GLTA and do your DD
