This fed is far more concerned about protecting the USD than how the guy from Main St. lives. A very misguided outfit but they will continue to be late to the party and only with a political gun to their head. Do not be surprised if Main St (and Wall St. by now ) is disappointed again. If the USD cannot be kept under 1.5 to the Euro, GS will be advising them to take the recessionary route. They only have about $ 300 billion in gold and that is no longer enough to control either gold or the USD.
