OK I think I know what you'd like to know, at least here is a try and perhaps John or someone else will give you more technical run down.
After a drill hole is completed, and the drill rod and drill extracted, the geologist can lower down an instrument package so that 'down hole' readings can be taken. I'm no expert here but there are a number of things they can find out about an ore body from down there they can't find out on the surface.
In the instance I was told about there was a definate indication that an anomality which on the surface appeared far deeper under ground evidently is not. After a bit of happy clappie and warm fuzzy feeling moments it was decided to immediately drill to see what seems like an offshoot or additional anomality right beside DE 1. Now maybe it's part of DE 1, maybe it's the damn feeder or maybe it will turn out to be nothing much or anything.
What's your bet given the extent of mineralization in this area?
