I read your post and can't quite put a handle on your point. For example, "everyone should have a plan b."
Isn't a plan "b" a more suitable term for the bank robbery business? I could see a bank robber having plan b just in case plan "A" doesn't work.
Well IMHO I don't see a need for NOT (we, us, as share holders) et al to be too concerned about a plan B. Do you not think you are getting ahead of yourself just a bit? We don't have plan 'A" yet, that I am aware of.
From what I understand we are exploring a huge discovery. We have just begun that exploration process. We will sell when the time comes and we won't have any trouble selling when it does. Now while we are exploring we are of course open to offers. We can take an offer or we can leave an offer. That doesn't constitute plan A or B its just the way it is! If a major does not offer fair market value as you put it, China will be more than happy to. Besides that IMHO the majors will be fighting over this area so if there is a plan a or b it should include how we are going to prevent these majors from destroying each other in their attempts to catch this amazing discovery.
Mr. Nemis and Novak and the rest of the crew including the CEOs and Geos from several other plays since they, in all probability, will all be sold to the same major at the same time. So you see? Not to worry. There are literally hundreds of the best minds in the business looking out for our $$$$ and that is not including some of the sharpest minds in the investing world right here on this and area play forums reading and yes sometime posting on these very forums. They also happen to be shareholders and you can read their posts, click on their names and read more posts until you know what we know.
You can also be rest assured that NOT is and will be negotiating from a position of power. Again I must bring up the other area plays who will also be in on the negotiations.
My friend on this board you do not need a plan "B". All that is required is patience......
