I have posed that question and am told that in many cases the ramp entrance does become the mine entrance.

I have also heard of them taking the truckloads of samples and then backfilling The ramp.

As I recall it being explained to me the ramp is an exploration tunnel to grab quantities of ore which is then sent for analysis. The ramp will tell them how best to mine the various veins or shoots or whatever you want to call them.

So they may decide the mine entrance should be elsewhere. These grab samples are an attempt to get a 43 101 I believe.
