I am one of the new gals and always trying to increase my knowledge regarding stocks. This post is really helpful.
I have to admit I did not really realize the importance of management. I figured if a discovery was made, the company should make money and the SP go up. Pretty naive. With the NOT management team, I now realize indeed, how important this is in choosing to invest in any stock.
I have even learned about geology - long way to go yet but I am reading the reports through and can understand some of it.
After much reading and learning from the many posts here, I found your comment "even the intuitive process" can be used.
I remember reading about a Japanese owner of one of the very large companies. When he was asked how he made his decisions, he said he thought about them, slept on them and in the morning went with his gut feeling, as he put it.
After all the reading on NOT, I am going with the intuitive process and feel very comfortable with my decision to hold NOT.
Does anyone else make decisions this way?
