When I read the Big Score, Friedland was almost panicking at the thought of a Major taking him out early. He was counting every share he could control and knew he could be in trouble. That was the main reason he did the deal with Teck. Now I know the PP that we did was only for 6.5M shares but this might have been to not only bank some money but also to protect our interest as longs, ie control a bigger share of the float to prevent a hostile take over. We have discussed the PP a length with pros and cons of it but I do not remember anyone bringing this up. Any thoughts on this?
