I'm just getting caught up on these posts and am tracking this road issue for the umteenth time.
I don't know who chipped in for the Victor Road but I can tell you this. At my meetings here in Thunder Bay we are already discussing the reserves and the access we will have to the many reserves for health care. We have been discussing this for years. The reserves up North are in Thunder Bays catchment area. It is the largest in Canada i believe with scattered communities. I have been a volunteer in the city since my retirement in 2000. The money is already being discussed for a road in the back rooms here. There will be one big push by the Ministry of Health I can gaurantee that, not to mention tourism and virtually every other department. This is bigger than the NOT hit now because lives are at stake. We now have a reason/excuse for not moving forward.
The terrain is the same to Victor and DE. One or 2 phone calls to the right person and you have the cost per kilometer of the road to Victor.
Lets not forget that mrjack works at Victor. He lives down the street from me and he is heavily invested here. Same terrain. Road should cost the same. Unfortunately he can't post here anymore due to an argument with MJ.
I still don't understand why the board continues to want to discuss non issues such as this.
What has happened with this area so far is very little. Granted Nemis is in a hurry and doing things right through jv to cover ground but we are in infancy relatively speaking. This is day one of the rest of your lives. Lets get more than June and Johnny up there turning. Lets get a dozen turning with the labs backed up, then we'll return to the road. Or it will be in the hands of the major who buys!!!....Don
