I just jumped ahead. I am attempting to get caught up on my reading and responding. I responded then the thought struck me. I bet Quiz has a response. Scary. Sure enough here it is.
Don't think for a second that I don't appreciate Geos and engineers so long as they don't get too God-Like in their own minds and even more importantly they are who they say they are. It has been my experience many of you come and go while we remain. Some leave good memories and knowledge while others leave a sour taste in your mouth once they depart.
Now that the road issue has been deemed a non issue you come back at me with power? lol
One more thing. Don't go twisting my words. I did not say that the Ministry of Health approves anything. What I am saying is the Health Ministry is looking forward to the new road and will contribute. Every budget will be reassessed especially Health. We are already discussing it!!! Diabetes, addiction, suicide etc.. are our concern. We have been discussing this for years! This is our opening! We will get our road so save you geo jargon.
I don't immediately think that a post is negative. We pray for geos and engineers to help us with our questions. We are thankful for engineers.
Keep in mind that I became a Nurse at age 40 after 25 years in the bush, pipeline and construction. I returned to school at 40. I have a business diploma, Industrial Relations as well as nursing. I am 60 now and will be 61. My first job at 14 was on the Grand Rapids Dam in Northern Manitoba and that was when SIN cards were initiated. I owned a back hoe and a dump truck so don't think for a minute that Nurse means lilly white hands.
I have been involved in remote construction of roads in my past. Everyone in Northern Ontario in my age group has! Who do you think built or had a hand in building all of these highways you enjoy today? I know my friends and I from Thunder Bay got a lot of work building roads.
So go ahead Quiz. Discuss the issues with our new geo and we'll listen. I give you the perfect world.
