Looking at the trading pattern from ~12:30 PM through 2:00PM is it that some if not many of the various trading Houses have news events programed into their basic 'automated trading algorithms' such that the programs are triggered by a comb of news release and 'buy on rumor - sell on news'. After all even though that is the mantra of Business/Commerce students and many 'joe blows' the pattern appears to occur with almost automatically with Noront News. If that is infact the case (fully or to some extent) then today someone must be standing by to reset the algorithm quickly or buyers come in to cause the reset automatically.
