I rather doubt that the drills that are needed for the drilling that all are doing here are just laying around anywere.... or why is everyone waiting for drills.
With the demand for equipment that has evolved in the last few years, I would suggest that everyone is standing in line. Some projects are waiting for drills to be manufactured and most.... if not all good experienced crews are already working.
Any project that I am involved with for the last two years or so .. has had to wait for drills. One contracted driller working with a one machine on a project is waiting on two more new machines and has promised us another one of them. Waiting time for machines is now two months and we are told maybe by May if we are lucky..
Now.. the manpower could no doubt be helpfull with a little quick training as they are perhaps a liitle more adaptable than laymen.
And then comes the shortage of labs.. so more time waiting at this end as well.. The industry no doubt was not quite ready for what is happening now.
