FACT: Ok everyone is trying to Speculate on the NR. WELL THE ANSWER is in the NR from this morning. SEE BELOW high lighted and BOLD.

What this release does not STATE is why FWR/MGR is Also halted. The RAMP and Portal is supposed to be partially on the the jv land to ramp to NOT 100% owned 52 Oz hole. They have said the ramp is completed. So that means they started the portal and they have found something there (IMO). Which POSSIBLY the Entrance to the portal is ON the FWR/MGR jv. Thus the HALT for them. The MEETING that they where in all day today COULD BE with FWR/MGR trying to ascertain how the NR should read. Of course this is my opinion..

TORONTO, ONTARIO - (March 18, 2008) - Noront Resources Ltd. ("Noront") (TSX VENTURE: NOT) advises that the trading halt requested by the TSX.V is unrelated to its Double Eagle project in McFaulds Lake area. The halt is pending news release relating to the Company's Windfall Lake project in Urban Township, Quebec.
Recently a number of shallow drill holes were completed in support of a geotechnical and hydrological study by Forage Abitibi under the supervision of Qualitas Monterval "Monterval" geotechnical sub contractor arranged by the company's contractor Genivar LP of Val d'Or, Quebec.
Assay results from these drill holes have been received and will be reported as soon as it can be prepared by the Company.
