The Nemis-Midas Touch - Donnypee

Don - I think you hit upon something significant in your comment about Richard Nemis having the Midas touch. The odds of Nemis hitting the richest gold grade I've ever heard about for such a long length (averaging about 1300 g/t over a 4.8 or 4.9 meters), and less than a year later hitting the highest grade of nickel-pgm grades every found over a much longer length - is unprecedented. By analogy, Peyton Manning, a little over a year ago, led his team to a national championship. A year later, his little brother, Eli Manning, led his team to a national championship. What are the odds of two brothers both being starting quarterbacks in the NFL - very slim. But the odds of both of them winning a national championships is even more of a long shot, and especially in consecutive years with different teams.

Similarly, the odds of Mr. Nemis and his team drilling two of the richest mineral intercepts in Canadian history is phenomenal - and to do it in consecutive years on two different projects seems to defy the odds. Some might say that RN has the 'luck of the Irish' or that the 'big man upstairs is smiling down on him'. Whatever one's persuasion is, I think people start to notice such extreme success, and want to follow and be involved with someone like this. He seems to be like King Midas of old, and everything he touches turns to gold. But RN does it even better than Midas - with some things he touches, we have gold; but other things he touches become platinum and high grade nickel and worth even more than gold! As you say, I would never want to bet against the guy!!!
