They could be refering to DE4 as DE1 because if you look at the map there are 2 anomalies almost side by side to the south west. One of them is huge!!! Take a close look and compare the size to DE1. They get larger as we go south.

So DE4 amy be the start of the hit so he calls it DE1. Does that make any sense?
