Maybe I am completely wrong.

Richard does not release any additional news by design in hopes that the share price drifts to around $5.00 or below. Result, warrant holders do not exercise and thus the warrants expire. (by warrants not being exercised there is somewhat less dilution of shares)

The rationale for Richard going this route is this: He is not inclined to dilute the shares via a $5.00 warrant when he knows that he can dilute much less, soon enough at a much higher share price.
