Looking back on previous N/R's, I find it interesting to note that the first news release that mentioned PGE's was on September 19/07. The September 19th news release provided partial assays for hole #1 which included results for some of the PGE's. Then, on September 25/07 Noront released news that included final assays for both holes 1 & 2. These final assays included the assay results for Platinum, Palladium, Gold & Silver.
I find it interesting and somewhat telling that Noront began their drilling campaign on the DE property on August 24/07. Therefore, within 31 days from the start of drilling, they released final assay results for a couple of holes. It is important to remember that back in September upon the "discovery", priority 1 for Mr. Nemis et al was to get the story out and hence the rush assays for the above results.
Here we are, roughly 2 months after E2 has landed and we are still awaiting results. It has been discussed by many on the forum that there is a bottle neck at the labs but I would think that if it was deemed important by the powers that be, we could and would have results by now.
Priority #1 for Mr. Nemis et al has changed. By virtue of the number of players in the McFauld's area, we are now all participants in a chess match the likes of Bobby Fisher has never played. The complexities of maximizing ultimate shareholder value is not apparent to the majority of us here. Although Richard is in an enviable position, most might not recognize what truely is going on behind the scenes.
In light of the lack of updates or news, it is my belief that we will have corporate news before we are provided with any additional positive assay or visual results (again IMHO).
Richard is at present making all the strategic moves and for all you fellow Noront shareholders, keep in mind that like a game of chess, hasty moves do not result in Checkmate. Be patient and keep the endgame in sight.
Cheers,
Milsy1
Note: When Diamond Feilds staked Voisey's Bay, it was cheque in hand at the claims office and as such, after their discovery, (only known to them) they claimed as much land around their discovery as finances would allow. Unfortunately for us, physical staking in Ontario is the requirement. The complexitiy of our situation would not be nearly what it is, if we were playing by the same favorable staking rules that Diamond Fields did.
