Some Newbie Advice- from a Newbie

So here it is 1 month into the stock market mission thinking I am going to make a fortune overnight.

Heres some advise for new investors:

1. Get that first thought out of your head. Very rarely will anyone just enter the venture stock market and make a zillion dollars overnight.

2. Read.Read. Read

3. Comprend.

4. Read more.

5. ask questions of those that appear to know whats going on ( ie QQGirl, canseco, donypee, d12 and Old Joe, except you have to read his comments 3 or 4 times to get the ral message he is conveying)

6. do not watch the stock board minute by minute. You will have a stroke if you watched the events of the last 2 days and watch your investment drop by 20-30% in seconds.

7. Realize that you are in this for the long run. As in cooking, a good dinner takes a long time to prepare.

8. Make your investment decision and stick with it. Do NOT panic

9. DD= Due Diligence. Read everything you can on the company. visit stockboards like this. Make sure you invest what you can aford to lose. This is not unlike going to a casino and putting all your money on a single nimber. However the payoff can be considerably more.

10. Resist the urge to make off the cuff comments that you cannot back up on this board. You'll get ripped apart.

After 1 month of investing, learning , losing 27% of my investment on paper, i sit here, confidently sipping a beer, knowing that through what i have learned it will soon be champagne. NOT will ocme through. in the end.
