Message: Weather - James Bay Lowlands

No, this shouldn't hinder drilling in Mcfaulds any more than the normal breakup would. The communities that are flooding are right on the shores of James Bay, and built right on the river. The reason they are flooding is because as the ice breaks apart upriver it flows down to the mouth of the river and causes a large ice jam. This backs up the river in a fairly localised area. Since we are hundreds of miles to the west and a few hundred feet higher elevation, we would need a deluge of biblical proportions. There may be a little high water due to melting and runoff, but no more than normal.
