if you decide to participate in it and put yourself forward, someone is going to take a shot a you at some point whether you deserve it or not. If you are that insecure about being on this site, remain in the background. It is not a perfect place and there is an incredible amount of emotion here. If you are called out, state your case and eventually the truth of your status will prevail. It is often trial by ordeal here. Say something unpopular .... expect to be shot at. If you want lots of friendly acceptance, then say what you think everyone wants to hear and you'll get lots of green thumbs. It is no different here than anywhere else you encounter people. Newbies will have to remember one thing that Oldbies have forgotten.... how much they take the information they have for granted. The amount of knowledge that they have often makes new questions seem suspect as the answers should appear to be obvious. It would be nice if folks could respond to each other perfectly, but so far this is what we have.
