Why don't my links work!!! They keep getting truncated.

Agoracom...first thanks for a great site. I'm having an off morning here..little sleep and less coffee. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but I didn't want to paste a multiple page article into the forum so I pasted the link which won't paste in completely leaving it dead. Is there something I am doing wrong. Do links need to be no more than a certain length?? If so can that be changed to accomodate longer links. It would save forum area. I'm going to post the article as it is Saturday and less busy.
