Perhaps you can consider doing both with core shares and trading shares. Many do it, and I'm sure many have done it with NOT and the other McFaulds companies. The trading shares are ideally kept within a tax deferred account, and if you have taxable accounts, a great place to hold stuff for long term tax treatment.
