OK, there seems to be a lot of talk here about how slowly things are moving and why we aren't getting any news.

Well, we know about the lab screwup so I won't say anything about that.

What I will say is that we were all told there would be a slowdown during breakup. The drill crews would get some time off and the geese would get shot. I know some of you live in far off sunny corners of the globe, but in our particular corner at Mcfaulds lake, the ice still isn't out and there is still snow on the ground. Breakup has not yet happened! It is a simple as this. The ice is too rotten to land a plane on. Until the ice is completely gone, the float planes can't get in. The docks have been built and are sitting in Webequie to be slung in by helicopter so when the ice is FINALLY out, they won't miss a beat. Helicopters run at about 4-5 times the cost of an airplane and it is cost prohibitive to fly the 200 miles to and from Pickle Lake or Nakina. It would even cost too much more to fly all supplies into Webequie and then ferry them out with the helicopters. Thats why they build the camps at the drill sight - to save money. Otherwise everybody would stay in a hotel in Thunder Bay every night and fly in and out every day.

So here is where we sit. The goose hunt is just about over. I know this because I have seen more dead geese in the past two weeks than I ever thought possible. The ice has started to melt. It is too rotten to land an airplane on. Until such time as the ice is completely gone and the floatplanes can get in, we will plod along slowly.

Oh and there is a rumour circulating that an airline in Nakina has bought a new plane that will be dedicated solely to a company or companies at Mcfaulds. Planes aren't cheap - I take that as a good sign.

So everyone relax, we will get our results from DE2 and then when mother nature lets us we will continue drilling at breakneck speed.
