I'm sick of hearing about core holdings and 'trading' shares and 'free' shares. I'd love CRA (revenue Canada) to track you guys down. Once and for all, there is no such thing. We use moving average cost here in Canada and you can't split cheapies and current shares. You have to recalculate your average cost after every buy transaction. The other accountants will back me up on this one.
