I can't say I've read every single post of today, but certainly most.
The outstanding post of the day, again, comes from QQ - she really gets it, and so much so than almost everyone else (Being There is real good, too). So many of the rest of the posts, are, frankly, petty and several downright disgusting.
The irony is, the people who are overboard on this board, raise expectations, and when the company can't quite cash those checks, the natives not only get restless, some apparently begin leaning toward mutiny very quickly.
RN has been deified on this board, and there has never been a good reason for it, and that's not fair to him. He's no doubt a fine man, he got plenty lucky in JBL, and he's been pursuing the good fortune the best way he knows how. But he's just a guy (and not the all-knowing, who can turn a poor schlub into a millionaire with a knowing wink, and grandfatherly-like assurances).
And someone ought to dispell the notion that any 43-101 is coming around any time soon. Regardless of who said what in January, 43-101's are almost always several months (6-18) later than any first estimate. I'd fall off my chair right onto my m'ass'ive if we got a 43-101 before the 4th quarter of this year. I thought that was a good question by Polylabel, and look at the answer that came back.
Those answers today really were out of corporate character, and certainly not the answers of the kindly older gentleman who looks right into people's eyes and says, "hold onto the stock." Tell you what, that's not a swipe at RN, that's a swipe at the many people who have posted that kind of very subjective statement. I don't think there's a thing in the world wrong for a proud CEO to tell someone during an informal conversation, to hold onto the stock. But, sometimes it's reported here as if RN had uttered it in a trance, channeling Vulcan or Pluto, or as if it were a guarantee signed in blood.
Posters, especially the ones that really don't have a lot of investment experience, and take everything the royalty of this board has to offer as if it were written on stone tablets, just jump right on the bandwagon, assuring each other that results will be great, it's guaranteed, the shorts will fry, who would be so stupid as to short this stock, and all that crap we've read dozens, if not hundreds, of times over the last several months.
Hey, the company is no doubt trying its best. Who knows what they might think of some of the characters on this board, and how company executives feel about the way those characters portray some of the conversations they've had when they report them here. Maybe that's where some of the iciness of that response to Poly's questionnaire came from.
Reading this board on most days, it sounds like we're all in line for a ten-bagger, no question, just wait a bit, nothing but blue sky. That's an awfully tough thing to accomplish, a ten-bagger, and NOT has a great start, but think about how many other companies haven't come close to what some here think NOT will become. I'm here to tell you, NOT may make it, but the odds are still very much against them. And that's not to say the risk/reward is not favorable, but we're no coin flip away from being wealthy from this investment.
With the recent news not being as expected, investors who have been exclusively invested in NOT are welcomed to the wonderful world of mining juniors. NOT has been exempt from that delightful arena, but may have to dish the dirt with the rest of the girls for a while.
Hoping for big success with NOT, but not demanding it, nor even counting on it. Rant over.
