There have been manipulators in almost every stock I've owned during the period those stocks declined. And, when (and if) the stock turned around and started to go back up, the manipulators left.
Geez, guy, chromite or not, the market (a) didn't get what it wanted last Tuesday, and (b) confused at least a part of the market with the NR's it did release. Everyone knows the market hates uncertainty, which, to a large degree, is what those NR's generated.
Now that it has been overwhelmingly decreed by many and multitudinous posters that the Chromite NR is actually very good news, what more could any NOT fan want. Most of the market is confused and selling more than buying, we here are not confused and realize the significance of the NR, so we're offered stock at a discount. I understand some are out of dry powder, but that is a tactical error on their part.
This situation could be ideal (call me old fashioned, but I would have preferred an E1 redux for E2, but I'll work with what I'm given). The risk/reward has certainly shifted favorably for anyone buying shares at this time.
My guess - last weeks NR's, taken together, were no worse than neutral, an opportunity has presented itself here and now. It may get juicier, it may not, but an opportunity nonetheless. Not a sure thing, understand, but an edge.
