Message: Consolidation

Noront Management have NEVER come out and said they intend to control 80% of the ROF. Nobody has ever actually talked to Dick Nemis to clarify exactly what was meant by his 'off hand' comment either.

Noront is, at the moment, the key to controlling the ROF (or 80% of it if you wish to consider less). But it's the key and not actual control which would be obtained by the 'Major' by purchasing Noront and negotiating purchase of deposits from other exploration companies on an individual basis.

What's so hard to understand here? Eventually there will be some kind of auction or bidding war by the Majors interested in controlling the ROF. Dick Nemis is positioning Noront so that without Noront you can't get control which in turns makes Noront worth a premium.

Doesn't this make sense? To me it seems a lot more sensible than taking an off the cuff statement literally and in a way I doubt Dick Nemis would support.
