I would rather have seen a release worded like this:

Probe reiterates the soundness of all its claims and boundaries and rejects all assertions and rumours to the contrary. For questions please refer to claim (document / survey) number XXXX. Probe will begin previously scheduled drilling on June XX on what it believes to be the north west track of the Eagle conduit.
