How's THAT for a soft promise from management?

Your very strong, unfounded opinions might just merit a very strong retraction. It would go a long ways with me, if you did.

It's one thing to fling around ideas, but when those ideas are profoundly wrong, and possibly harmful, there are times when one has to eat some humble pie.
