On a much larger scale, the same thing happened to Bear Stearns. A bank run will kill almost any bank, and IndyMac was already in deep trouble.

But Roos, you needn't have worried to have your mortgage with them, no change there, but you certainly would not have wanted to have more than $100,000 deposited there.

I live next door to Pasadena, and I know a few employees, the last several months have not been good times.
