Supply and demand is always a tricky issue. In general, mining companies only care to have enough 'ore reserves' for another 20 years or so of mining to allow for proper production planning and scheduling. If they have enough they reduce the exploration efforts and save costs. It is interesting that although consumption rates have increased for all metals, the number of years of known resources have not been coming down(except oil ofcourse)

In spite of this I think that the chrome finds in the ROF looks extremely attractive, it appears to have both tonnage and grade. With RHammer's insight on road construction, things look again better.

With chrome we do not need to go to Sudbury, but a smelter can be built in the Nakina area. Although this requires about 200 MW of power depending on production rates. Then again we are talking huge money and huge production. If the tonnage can be verified this may be a go, although it wil take many years.

Majors will start to take notice!
