Policy Change

There has been a lot of discussion about news. Noront has initiated a policy change. We are getting away from the halts etc. so we could expect an NR at any time and any day including Friday after close.

They have also initiated a policy (for lack of a better term), whereby all employees are enlightened regarding leaks. I believe this extends beyond Noront to the service providers. If a company will go to these lengths to prevent leaks, and we are part owners of that company, are we not bound to follow OUR companies policies?

While I am on this OUR company thing, lets toss "pumping" into the mix.

There are many board members who own their own business. If I was to ask "so how is your company"?

Are you going to tell me that management stinks, they never keep me updated etc. etc. etc.?

or are you going to say good things about the company you own?

My point is that we are part owners of a company. As such we must conduct ourselves a certain way and that way should coincide or run parallel to company policy. This should be done for the good of the company. It makes no sense to me to buy shares in a company and then criticize management and every little thing they do or don't seem to do.

There should always be questions of course, but there is a procedure to asking questions which is acceptable and that is the one we should utilize IMHO. The way things are going, a phone call to the office will produce nothing more than a call to a weather station and receiving a recorded message.

If some of us do not change our tune, the "this is a recording policy" just may wind up being adopted by all plays in the future. Just something to think about.

I am anxious to see what happens after the Olympics when China ramps up to full steam!! I have a feeling it might be the beginning of a turnaround.

Have a great day aeveryone
