I understood your use of the word bomb, but it is possible that in spite of a great find a terrible market will not recognize it and any smart investor including majors will wait to pick up at even cheaper prices. It is not a given but it is as possible as your assertion. However it is also possible as has been mentioned, that NOT will time their "efforts" to be affective.

How do you know they still hold all of those shares? They may have taken a cerain profit of loss, depending on when they sold and gone to cash on a good portion of it or all of it.

Nothing wrong with holding on but it would have been more profitable to date to have sold some of ones shares after sp hikes given the sawtooth track record NOT has had.
