Xstrata is not alone in Lonmin takeover.

Rival bidders incl. South Africa miner Impala Platinum are exploring ways to challange Xstrata take over bid for GBp 5 Billion UK listed Lonmin.Other potential bidders for Lonmin incl. BHP-Billiton and Russian Miner Norilsk Nickel.Chinese mining company Zinjin is also said to be a contender.This company already owns Ridge Platinium which is run by former management team from Lonmin.
